The Story Behind 222: A Journey to Purpose, Passion, and Giving Back
Growing up, I always aspired to follow in my father's footsteps and step into the world of finance. I pushed myself hard at school and later at university, studying Economics at Warwick, where I graduated with a first-class degree. This opened the door to my first role - a consulting position in credit risk modelling at PwC.
Working at PwC was incredibly rewarding. I met some of the brightest minds in the industry, developed both technical and interpersonal skills, and loved the challenge of the work. But despite the sense of accomplishment that came with each project, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. I wanted my work to resonate on a deeper level.
Alfie Kenton - Founder, Triple Two Bali
Then, about a year in, I took a trip to Bali - and that holiday changed everything. From the sunsets to the people to the laid-back lifestyle, Bali felt like home from the moment I arrived. I was struck by the entrepreneurial spirit and the focus on living with purpose and contentment. Six months later, I left my job, moved to Bali full-time, and started building something of my own.
Jewellery has always been part of my life. My step-mum and sister both have their own brands, and over the years I'd helped them with their businesses, developing a real love for the craft. To me, jewellery has never just been an accessory - it's a form of self-expression, a way to carry something meaningful.
The numbers 222 have resonated with me throughout my life, representing balance, harmony, alignment and connection - values I wanted to build the brand around. 222 became my vision for jewellery that doesn't just look good, but means something.
Since moving to Indonesia, I've had the chance to get involved in charitable work - distributing toys to underprivileged children in Lombok left a lasting impact on me. Nothing in corporate life compared to that feeling. Through 222, I want to support local children in Bali through education, and protect the environment that makes this island so special - I've always had a deep love for wildlife and the ocean, and partnering with programmes like mangrove restoration is something I'm passionate about.
When you choose 222, you're choosing a piece of jewellery with a story, a purpose and a commitment to giving back.
Thank you for being a part of this journey.
